Firstly, the handle is fixed to the lid by a small metal wire - it's stable and safe - but you will feel the swirl handle shift and move slightly on this wire which may oddly feel like something is "off" but it is not.

Secondly, I am not a gamer. But I had a friend who left a Nintendo switch at my place and I LOVED playing legend of Zelda on it.   These symbols remind me very much of that game. It's been a while, I can't remember exactly, but there were temples in the game where you collected runes? That's what these remind me of.

The pot is handmade, but unsigned.

I think that stoneware pottery fired at high temps is what yields this rough texture, then a slip glaze gives it the white antiquing.

I noticed for the first time while photographing it, there's a stupid chip on the rim of the lid, unfortunately : /

It is repaired, an old repair.

It was obviously knicked, someone kept the shard, and glued it back. So it has an old repair - in light of which, I will start the bidding low.
