Most of the Mean Well power supplies are for large-scale industrial use and generally do not include input and output wires, which need to be purchased separately.

Mean Well Power Supply - EDR Series

The EDR/NDR series rail power supply is an economical, thin 75-150 watt AC-DC rail power supply that meets German industry standards and can be installed on DIN Rail TS35/7.5 or 35/15 rails. In order to save the installation space of the electric cabinet, this series is designed to be ultra-thin (75W 32mm/ 120W 150W 40mm) with a full range of AC inputs from 90Vac to 264Vac. And in line with the EN61000-3-2 standard and the range of harmonic currents established by the European Union. The difference between EDR/NDR is that EMC standards are slightly different. And the working temperature of NDR can reach -20 ~ +70℃.

EDR/NDR adopts metal shell design, which is easy to improve the heat dissipation of the machine, and its working efficiency is as high as 88.5%. Under the condition of air circulation, the whole series can work in the ambient temperature of -20 ~ +60℃(NDR is -20 ~ +70℃), the model has constant current load protection mode, suitable for various inductive or capacitive load applications, complete protection work The ability to comply with the relevant certifications for industrial control equipment (UL508,TUV EN60950-1 and others) makes the EDR/NDR series a highly competitive solution for industrial applications such as industrial control systems, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, factory automation, electromechanical equipment, etc

MEAN WELL Enterprises Co., is a Taiwan based company started in 1982 with strong ties worldwide (some well-known companies re-badge their products) and they provide excellent support and backup. Meanwell is a TQM (Total Quality Management) company and is ISO9001 certified. In 2017, the 2-year return rate was 1 in 6600. Meanwell power supplies are extremely reliable in our experience with only one unit DOA (Dead On Arrival) that was replaced and three returned during the warranty period in the 10+ years we have been selling... one power supply had been installed in a control box outdoors (for advertising) and had been attacked by a nest of ants! Meanwell now offers a range of fully sealed units (IP65 and IP67 rated)... please ask us for advice for outdoor and hazardous environments. For a company video - click here.

Some "on-the-web" comments.... "I have hundreds of 600 Watt 24V Meanwells running in the field and probably another 100+ 350Watt 5V running in the field and they are the most reliable piece of equipment compared to everything else. I've -never- replaced one in over 11 years, but I have replaced a lot of cruddy circuit boards designed or assembled by the less technically inclined (companies).", 2. "But in the end I've learnt a lesson here and that is spend the extra cash and buy some quality power supplies like the meanwell brand or else you could be in for a very frustrating time but I don't have the budget for that this year so I'll have to deal with what I have (sad face)". 3. Need a decent power supply... I can recommend mean well supplies. They are low end industrial supplies but are good quality, I use mean well in lots of equipment and have had very few failures in thousands of hours of run time.
