Originales Inkunabel-Doppelblatt mit insgesamt 18 Wappen-Holzschnitten verschiedener Adels-Geschlechter aus der sehr seltenen Ausgabe zur Kölner Stadtgeschichte, auch „Koehlhoff´sche Chronik“ genannt.
Es ist zugleich sein wichtigstes Werk, welches er gedruckt hat.
Die Chronik gilt als eines der bedeutendsten gedruckten Bücher des Spätmittelalters und als erstes Druckerzeugnis der Kölner Stadtgeschichte. Sie erschien in nur einer geringen Auflage von rund 250 Exemplaren. Der anonyme Autor, wahrscheinlich handelt es sich um den aus Rheinbach stammenden Schulmeister Johann Stump, kritisiert in seiner Chronik sowohl den Klerus als auch die weltlichen Herrscher, so dass das Werk drei Monate nach der Veröffentlichung verboten und beschlagnahmt wurde.
Auf Veranlassung der Kirche mussten einige Seiten ausgetauscht werden. Die Chronik ist neben Hartmann Schedel's Weltchronik eine der am reichsten illustrierten Inkunabeln. Sie ist zudem ein wichtiges Quellenwerk zur Kölner Stadtgeschichte des Mittelalters.
Die ungewöhnlich hohe Anzahl von Holzschnitten in der Chronik scheint aus dem Erfolg der Schedel´schen Weltchronik zu resultieren, ist aber auch zu einem wesentlichen Teil von einer handschriftlich überlieferten stadtkölnischen Chronik abhängig: der um 1470 entstandenen "Agrippina" des Heinrich von Beeck.

Original incunable double-leaf with several coat-of-arms-woodcuts from noble families from the very rare edition on the history of Cologne, also called "Koehlhoff'sche Chronik". It is at the same time his most important work, which he printed.The Chronicle is considered one of the most important printed books of the late Middle Ages and the first printed work on Cologne's city history.
It was published in only a small edition of around 250 copies. The anonymous author, probably the schoolmaster Johann Stump from Rheinbach, criticised both the clergy and the secular rulers in his chronicle, so that the work was banned and confiscated three months after publication.
At the instigation of the church, some pages had to be replaced. Along with Hartmann Schedel's Weltchronik, the Chronicle is one of the most richly illustrated incunabula. It is also an important source work on the city history of Cologne in the Middle Ages.
The unusually high number of woodcuts in the Chronicle seems to result from the success of Schedel's Weltchronik, but it is also dependent to a considerable extent on a handwritten chronicle of the city of Cologne that has survived: the "Agrippina" by Heinrich von Beeck, written around 1470.
