Dr Gareth Moore is the author of a wide range of puzzle and brain-training books for both children and adults, including The Kid's Book of Puzzles, The Mammoth Book of Brain Games and The Rough Guide Book of Brain Training, Brainbenders and Treasure Hunt Puzzles. He is also the founder of daily brain training site He gained his PhD from Cambridge University (UK) in the field of computer speech recognition, teaching machines to understand the spoken word.
