Unique antique solid wood painted items, 8 inches long overall with a 4 x 4 inch ball at the top.I can't find others like them, so I am not sure what these are. If they are for darning, they are much larger than any other darning eggs, and because there are two of them, I question if that is what they are. Since there are two of them, they may be primitive weight lifting tools, but they are not dumbell shaped. This is my best guess. They are not maracas, and they are not rattles. Anyone who might know what these are, please let me know.


The paint is chipped off both of them but is not loose and currently chipping. One is cracked, as shown in the picture.


These are very old and have a lovely patina and can be admired for their beauty and uniqueness.
