6-Color Ink System: The PIXMA iP6310D Photo Printer features two high-intensity inks--Photo Cyan and Photo Magenta--along with the conventional 4 inks for more accurate color values. Two FINE ink cartridges are included with the printer: CL-41 Color and CL-52 Photo. FINE cartridge 51 is compatible with this printer as an option.

ChromaLife 100 System: ChromaLife 100 is a system that improves the beauty and permanence of printed images through the combination of Canon's new dye-based inks, Canon photo paper, and Canon's FINE printhead technology. Canon inks and paper are designed to withstand common, real world conditions that cause photos to fade. Prints will resist fading due to common household gases, light, high temperature, and humidity. Using select genuine Canon inks and photo papers, you can create beautiful photos that last up to 100 years.

Resolution: Canon's Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) uses an innovative print head with 2,304 nozzles, ejecting precise, consistent droplets as small as 2 picoliters (two-trillionths of a liter). The result is 4800 x 1200 dpi max resolution prints producing excellent clarity and photo-realism.

Canon Bubble Jet Direct: The iP6310D mates with Canon Bubble Jet Direct compatible digital cameras to print without transferring the image to a personal computer and then to the printer. Simply plug a compatible Canon digital camera and you have complete control of the printer's customized functions including automatic printing using DPOF (Digital Print Order Format), index printing, partial image printing, multiple copy printing, exact size printing and more.

PictBridge: You can connect this printer directly to any PictBridge compliant digital camera. You can connect a PictBridge-compliant digital camera directly to a PictBridge-compliant printer and make prints, regardless of brand.

Memory Card Slots: The printer is equipped with two slots to allow you to print photos from memory cards. Compatible memory cards include: CompactFlash, Microdrive (supports TYPE I/TYPE II), Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, secured digital (SD) card, and Multimedia card (MMC). You can also use Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo, mini-SD card, and xD-Picture card when used with a special adapter.

Bluetooth Printing: With an optional Bluetooth v.1.2 adapter, you can print wirelessly from Bluetooth-equipped mobile camera phones, PCs and PDAs. The operating distance is approximately 10 meters (32.8 feet). The Canon Bluetooth Unit BU-20 (sold separately) is required.

Print Sizes: The iP6310D can make various sizes of bordered or borderless photos. It can print credit card size, 4" x 6", 5" x 7", and 8.5" x 11" photos.

Print Speed: Print speed will vary depending on system configuration, software, document complexity, print mode and page coverage. The iP6310D has the following print speeds: for a photo lab quality 4" x 6" borderless print, approximately 60 seconds; for an 8" x 10" photo approximately 1 minute 47 seconds.

Quiet Mode: You can reduce the sound that the printer generates during operation (on/off). When used, the speed of printing your photos may be slower than when this mode is not used.

File No Print: select whether to print the dcf (the file number) or not

Red Eye Corr: correct the red eyes caused by the reflection when the flash hits a persons eyes

Vivid: this function makes green and blue more lively

Pop: this function automatically optimizes brightness and tome of a photo

Remove Noise: this function reduces the noise on blue areas like the sky as well as on black areas

Face Bright: this function brightens a darkened face on the photo taken against the light (backlit images are corrected when printed)

Optimize: correct the contours and smoothes out the jaggedness

Brightness: adjust brightness

Contrast: adjusts contrast

Color: adjust color hue

USB 2.0 Hi-Speed: The USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface enables the fastest photo transfers possible from your computer.

Included Software

Easy-PhotoPrint version 3.5 (Windows/Macintosh): You can quickly and easily print borderless photos just by choosing the picture and paper type. This program also offers red eye correction, will smooth facial skin and is compatible with ExifPrint (to transfer recording data from the camera).

PhotoRecord (Windows): You can create fun and unique photo albums with decorative themes such as frame, background, and clip art. This program is also compatible with ExifPrint.

Easy-WebPrint (Windows): You can print homepages on Internet Explorer in full size without the right side being cropped. This program requires Internet Explorer 5.5 or later (version 6.0 or later recommended).
