This model 302 telephone was manufactured in the United States by Western Electric from 1937 until 1955. It was one of the most widely used American telephones that included the ringer and network circuitry in the same housing. Most 302-series phones were made in black. By 1941, it was made from a thermoplastic material called Tenite, available in five colors: ivory, Pekin red, green, blue, and rose pink until phone production was suspended during  WWII. Production resumed in 1945. In 1952, synthetic rubber (Neoprene) jacketed cords became standard equipment, which is what dates this item.

The 302 was a rugged and easily repaired desk telephone that was usually leased to subscribers. In excellent pre-owned working condition. The rotary dial moves smoothly. Has light wear, scuffing, and scratches consistent with 70+ years. Measures approx. 5" tall. The rear U-type connectors may need some work or replacement if you actually want to use this phone regularly. Guaranteed to be as described and shown.
