Cuirassier's Helmet with white plume

Stunning and very decorative, mid 19th century Belgian Cuirassier's or Cavalry Officer's helmet with white feather side plume. Steel skull mounted with a large lions head helmet plate, brass trimmed front visor and neck guard, stamps to rear. Brass chinscales and sunburst ear rosettes mounted with silvered grenade bomb. Gadrooned scrolling crest also mounted with a silvered grenade bomb. Original black horsehair brush and plume. Original leather liner. Fine example. Model 1833, circa 1850.
