This gem is a stunning Vivid blue colour . Known in the trade as Swiss Blue. Has great cut . It would make a very nice centre stone for a ring pendant or brooch. Topaz is a relatively hard gem scoring an 8, on the Moles hard scale .This is a very large stone, that's great as an alternative to Aquamarine. Topaz is priced significantly lower, than most alternatives. Topaz although a relatively common gem is sometimes under-appreciated, which is shame as its a very robust , clean and well priced gem. Perfect for some one looking for big stone, but not willing to pay thousands .
