Description:  It is an authentic engraved antique map over 160 years old with original hand color outlining on the map and black and white engraved scenes around the edge as originally issued in the large format edition without centerfold. It is from Victor Levasseur Atlas National Illustre de France (abbreviated as Atlas de Illustre in the top left margin of the maps), published in Paris, 1852 as stated on the title page. A facsimile copy of the title page is included for authenticity. There is a lot of documentation in the margins of the map including abbreviated atlas title, illustrator, engraver and editor. The map is a single sheet and is not mounted, matted nor framed as shown in the main pic photographed against a black background. It is a beautiful map with no centerfold and a nice wide margin that would frame up very nicely. See the pics for more details.
Size: The map image measures approximately 11 by 17 inches (28x43cm) on a 14 1/2 by 21" (36x53cm) page with a margin all around for framing as seen in the pic.
Condition: The map is in Very Good condition with overall light tonal aging and original hand coloring as issued. There are a few minor spots in the margin, otherwise the map area is very clean and would frame up well, see the pics for more on condition. The pics are of the actual map.
