"The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger. Published in hardback by Hamish Hamilton in 1951. First UK Edition. 253pp. The book is in Good Plus condition for its age. It stands straight and has no shelf lean or bowing present. The boards are clean. The page edge blocks are evenly tanned from age. The book is inscription and annotation free. The internal pages are very clean and without any creases or staining. The dustjacket is in Good condition. It is nearly complete although it has a few small nibbles to it, the most evident being that at the head of the spine and the bottom of the front panel (see scans). The rear panel of the dustjacket has a closed tear and a heavy crease at the top, left corner plus some scuffing to note (see scans). The dustjacket is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. Overall, a nice copy of this classic 20thC novel. Any questions, please just ask.
