The values displayed on the CAX-AD100 alcohol detector are for reference only and are not intended to determine whether or not you are allowed to drive a car or work on machinery.

Please read the following before use.

This instrument is a precision electronic device. If the main unit is subjected to strong shocks or vibrations, or if the sensor is exposed to tobacco smoke or strong odors, the device may be adversely affected, and normal measurement may not be possible. If you notice any abnormalities such as "no alcohol reaction even though you have been drinking" or "alcohol reaction even though you have not been drinking," please stop using the product and contact your dealer or JVC KENWOOD Customer Support Center.

[When using the product after opening the package or storing it for a long period of time]

1. Due to the characteristics of this product, it may enter a kind of standby state when shipped or when not used for a few days. When using the product after opening the package or storing it for a long period of time, slide the sensor cover upward and shake the product 2~3 times to remove any odor or moisture that may have accumulated inside, and then take an empty measurement (press the ON/OFF switch to activate it 1~2 times) before taking a measurement.

2. If the product has been stored in a bag or case, some odor components may adhere to the sensor and prevent accurate measurement.

3. If you use a new product after opening the package or storing it for a long period of time without performing a blank measurement, an error message may be displayed even if you blow on it normally. Please perform a blank measurement before use.

For proper use

The analyzer may react to carbon monoxide, volatile components, chemical substances, etc. other than alcohol components. If you have used mouthwash, smoked, taken medicine, etc., gargle with water and wait at least 20 minutes before measuring.

*Possible reactions other than alcohol: 1) After eating (especially after consuming fermented foods such as bread or natto), 2) Immediately after consuming nutritional drinks or beverages, 3) Immediately after smoking, 4) After taking medicine, 5) Immediately after eating gum or tablets, 6) After brushing teeth or using mouthwash, 7) In case of bad breath, 8) If the reaction is caused by fermented gas from the body, always gargle with water immediately before taking a measurement. If you have eaten, drank, or smoked, wait at least 20 minutes before taking the test.

Avoid measuring in places where there are odors, strong winds, or high temperatures and humidity. (Appropriate operating temperature 0°C~35°C)

2. When continuing measurement, shake the main unit lightly 2~3 times in order to remove miscellaneous gases that have accumulated inside the main unit. (Do not shake the unit strongly.) 3.

3. If alcohol is detected, wait a little longer before measuring. (Errors are likely to occur until the sensor is in its initial state.)
