The GUNBRI
The GUNBRI (guinbri, guenbri) is a lute with a body hollowed out of a block of wood and a neck "semi-skewered" in it. The table consists of a skin stretched above it.
This very old instrument is still played in Morocco.
There are different kinds of gunbri.
The one presented here is a LOTÂR gunbri. Fairly long (89cm), it has a fairly wide neck (diameter: 5cm) and has four gut strings.

The body of the instrument is carved out of soft wood, usually poplar. Wet skin has been sewn around this crate. As it dries, it has tightened and thus remains strongly tense.

The end of the handle penetrating into the body ends on a "comb" on which the strings are fixed. These can be plucked by a plectrum as directly by the finger.

Note: We only have one tool without pattern.

Note : that there may be some slight scratches that do not affect the aesthetic of the oud. It is normal because it is handmade.
