This Bamboo knife block stores up to 4 Chef style knives or combination of Chef, bread, Santoku and other wider blade knives in the wide top slots and 3 carving, utility and paring style knives in the lower 3 slots. There are also 2 cut outs on the right side for your kitchen shears, an oval or round knife sharpener. The bottom row of six slots will fit your steak knives that are sized no larger than 5" long blades x 1" wide or additional paring knives or utility knives.
