Original circa 1918-1942 or so. The bank which is made of tin with a litho paper design is either circa WW1 or WW2 era. This toy still bank is named "Yankee Savings Bank". This bank is in superb all original condition. There is no wear to the litho design on the sides. There are no flaws & there are no chips to the paper which is 100% complete. The litho design shows a boy & girl putting money in to the bank with a few smaller repeating views of the bank design. The bank is American in origin. But, there is no maker's marking. The front has the words "Patent Pending" in small letters at the front bottom edge.

Interestingly, the bank was made with five slots at the top for insertion of coins as well as currency. The back has the wording "Save for Victory and Freedom" & "Save for Peace and Victory" & "Save and Buy Bonds". The bank is 4 1/6 inches tall & has a top diameter of 2 5/8 inches. The weight is 3.7 ounces. This recent Lancaster County, Pa. estate find is an exceptionally choice example of a scarce bank which would be hard to improve on condition-wise.
