His professional interests include database systems, logic programming, and knowledge representation. Scott A. Smolka is a professor of Computer Science at SUNY Stony Brook. He received his Ph.D. from Brown University. His research interests include semantics of concurrency, design of distributed algorithm and languages, and visual environments for concurrent systems.
