Installation instructions:
Squeeze the dust cover under the shift knob and disconnect the shift dust cover from the shift knob.
Rotate the knob counterclockwise to remove it. Some models require an open-ended wrench handle and gear lever nut.
Remove the knob and shift lever nut from the shift lever
Use an angled wide plastic prying tool to pry between the trim and the center console.
Remove the plastic assembly around the shift lever.
Disconnect all electrical connectors connected around the shift lever and lift the shift lever.
Flip the shift cover from inside out, cut the black zip strap, and remove the shift cover retainer.
Install a new dust boot retainer from the outside around the shift lever.
Fix it in place with the provided O-ring and screws.
Reassemble the trunk shift lever, trim, and knob. Check for work.
