Elke Mittmann is an art historian. She studiedat the Universities Paris-IV-Sorbonne and Leipzigand holds a doctorate. After working for manyyears at the Stiftung Bauhaus Dessau, she hasbeen director of the Maison de l'architectureCentre - Val de Loire in Orlans since 2011 andis currently teaching at the cole nationale suprieured'architecture de Strasbourg.
