As was often the case in the turbulent ‘60’s, artists expressed their opinions on current political issues in their work, and Stanley Mouse - who signed and doodled this Family Dog at the Avalon Theater poster, known as FD110 - was no exception; here we have the Statue of Liberty sporting a swollen eye a few months after the Tet Offensive.
