Author Biography
KAREN BENKE is the creator of two popular books on creative writing adventures, Rip the Page! and Leap Write In! (Roost Books)-as well as a poetry collection, Sister (Conflux Press). She handwrites a monthly snail-mail "Museletter," which reaches kids of all ages both nationally and internationally. She has taught with the California Poets in the Schools program for twenty-plus years and regularly leads Inspired Creativity Workshops for kids and adults at Book Passage Bookstore in Corte Madera, California, and in schools and libraries. With her husband, twelve-year-old son, and a cat named Clive, she lives north of the Golden Gate Bridge, where she prefers letters delivered to her physical mailbox, though she can be reached at her virtual one via
