Vintage pattern from 1946 to make this lovely 12 Inch Godey Lady Doll and her clothes.
These costumes will fit the 12" commercial Godey Lady Book Doll with porcelain china head.
Included are patterns for making 7 Godey Lady costumes and the doll.
Patterns and complete directions are given for making these authentic costumes,
under garments and the doll. They're also designed to fit the commercial 12 inch
Godey Lady Book China Head Dolls designed by Ruth Gibbs but you can dress any china head
doll of the correct size. The clothes will also fit the cloth doll pattern that's included
with this pattern. Doll collectors will be pleased with these authentic costumes (circa 1860)
for such note worthies as Mrs. Cartright (A); Mrs. Cabot (B); Mrs. Carter (C);
Miss Jennifer Boyles (D); Mrs. Enright (E) and Mrs. Eustis (F),
pictured on the front of the envelope. The Godey's Lady's Book was a magazine
published in Philadelphia from 1830 to 1878 and was mainly noted for the color tinted
fashion plates appearing in each issue. Godey Lady has become synonymous
with high fashion of the 1800s.
