Vintage 1950s Sada OMEGA Chronograph Landeron 48 Jumbo 37mm Mens 17J Gold Watch

This is a very rare SADA Chronograph Watch with Landeron 48 Mechanical 17 Jewel Movement.  SADA was a sub brand of Omega with the brand name being registered to “Omega Watch Co. SA / Louis Brandt" and created by Omega in 1906 to supply less expensive watches to retailers whom were not part of the official Omega distribution network.

This watch I believe dates to the 1950's and has a large off-white cream coloured dial with lovely aged patina, SADA can be seen at the top and SWISS MADE to the bottom.  The dial, hands and number/markers all appear original with some wear (see pictures).  The case itself is gold plated which measured large for its day at 37mm and is in good condition with wear as to be expected from a watch of this age.  Both the chronograph buttons and crown appear original and the acrylic crystal is also clear.  The case back is stainless steel with the number 729 1 printed on the outside and the inside case back is marked Fond Acier Inoxydable.

The mechanical movement is a Landeron 48 17 Jewel and appears clean and runs when wound and held in certain positions but requires a service as stops.  The watch is set on a brown leather strap with gold buckle.

This watch is certainly a collector piece and a must for any OMEGA enthusiast sure to hold if not gain in value as the popularity for vintage watches from top SWISS brands increases.
