A new starting point for Headway

Headway, which was founded in 1977 and has a history of over 45 years, released a "completely new Headway" in 2023 with the desire to fly into a new era.

While following the style of Headway's flagship model "HD-115", all specifications and specs have been revised, and the craftsmen of Aska Team Build jointly developed it from the ground up with Headway founder Yasuo Momose. Its name is The Eagle.

The design has been improved based on the concept of "Eagle", which has been drawn as a trademark on previous Headway models.
Inspired by the eagle, the king of the sky, the Headway logo on the head features a new crown-shaped design.
Momose himself has a special feeling for ``The Eagle,'' which was rebuilt by his beloved disciples who spent their entire careers as craftsmen.

■ Performance and sound backed by technology
・New bracing that heralds a new beginning
Based on the normal bracing used by Momose when Headway was launched, custom builders Yasui and Furihata have incorporated modern arrangements and redesigned ``Mid Point Shifted X Bracing'' for the first time. In addition, the ``Shallow Scalloped'' specification, which has shallower shavings than usual, was previously only used in Momose's CustomShop models, but this time it has been incorporated into The Eagle for the first time. While each note has a well-defined tone, it also has low acoustics and a boxy resonance, and the well-balanced sound that wraps all of these in overtones follows the previous Headway sound, but offers new possibilities for Headway. It makes you feel sexual.

・Latest neck grip ESV-CUSTOM
For the first time, we have adopted the "ESV-Custom" neck shape, which is a reshape of the "ESV" that was also used in previous models, and pursues a more comfortable grip. As we move towards a tapered high position, we have redesigned the thickness at the 12th fret to be about 0.5mm thinner than the "ESV", making it less difficult to grip even at the high frets, resulting in a finish that enhances playability. . Simply making it thinner would raise concerns about the strength of the neck, but based on Headway's belief that ``we want users who pick up Headway to use it for a long time,'' we have added two carbon support bars to the neck. It is incorporated. This not only maintains the robustness of the neck, but also allows for a quick response that transmits vibrations the moment you play.

■Design that symbolizes The Eagle
・Crown logo & head inlay
The brand logo was inspired by the Eagle, the king of the sky, and the ``Headway Crown Logo'', which means a crown, shines brilliantly.
The inlay has been rebuilt from the "Eagle" that Headway has used as a symbol motif since its founding. The scene depicts the character spreading its wings wide and flapping in the sky, imagining flight into a new era.

・Fingerboard inlay
On the fingerboard, I drew a picture of eagle feathers flying around. It is said that the eagle feather has the role of showing us the path we should take in the future and making the future soar, and the design hopes for a new start for Headway and everyone who owns this machine.

・Sound hole cover
The theme color of Aska Team Build Series The Eagle is red, and the deep colors create a luxurious feel.
The sound hole cover has the effect of moisturizing the inside of the body and reducing howling.

・Sound hole label
The sound hole label, which is characterized by the sharp Eagle's eyes, is based on the theme color "red", stimulating players with a passion for the future.

・Pickguard
The pickguard is made of the same rosewood as the side and back materials, and has a luxurious painted finish.
