1.40ct Valuable Multicolor Fire Contra Luz Mexican Precious Opal. Cut from older mined Magdalena, Jalisco rough, only a small percent of Mexican opal display multicolored fire and always valuable and expensive. Attractive light whitish gold base, then with flashes of very nice  multi color internal fire that is best viewed in strong direct transmitted lighting and while not as strong, lighter flashes of internal color play is also visible in strong direct reflected lighting.

PLEASE NOTE: With this variety of Mexican opal, the internal rainbow colored fire is best viewed in direct light such as a ray of sunlight or direct lamp light entering stone from behind at a slight angle, the fire is NOT VISIBLE in ordinary lighting.

This stone will display very nice internal multi colored colored fire when viewed with strong direct lighting entering stone from behind and at a slight angle, such as from a ray of sunlight or even by holding stone up to an ordinary lamp light and moving stone back and forth - NOT VISIBLE in ordinary room lighting. Transparent to slightly frosted, free of crazing, with attractive face up and eye appeal. Custom oval cut from rough, well seasoned and cut over 15 years ago, so very stable, stone approx. 9.05 x 7.05 x 5.09mm. Valuable opal variety. Beautiful jewelry or collector's stone.
