This is an original late 40's early 50's era US M1 combat helmet liner shell. This is used. I have found one little rough spot on the side but it is very small.  This one is nice and solid. I am not sure if it is a repaint or not.  Looks like just one coat. Webbing is in good condition.   It has a US 28 dome stamp. (see pictures)
