Description

A fuzz pedal that reproduces the "Kay Fuzz Tone" designed as a cheaper version of Shin-ei/Univox's famous "Superfuzz"!

Kay Musical Instruments was founded by Henry Kay Kuhrmeyer on July 1, 1931.
Henry soon shifted its focus to making basses, violas, guitars and other instruments, but it wasn't until the late 1960s that Henry entered the guitar pedal market with a series of hilariously bizarre plastic pedals without knobs. It was after that.
The four models, Fuzztone F1, Tremolo T1, Wah Wah W1, and Bass Boost B1, had foot-operated housings with no knobs, allowing you to control the parameters of each effect with your foot.
The Kay Fuzz Tone was likely released in late 1968 or early 1969. Originally designed as a cheaper version of the Shinei/Univox Superfuzz, this fuzz became one of the Edge's standard pedals. Ta.
54 years later, JHS released Mary-K, an arrangement of Kay Fuzz Tone.
Additionally, knobs and expression pedal jacks have been added, allowing you to use it in a way that suits your intended purpose.
