Due to dryness and humidity, foam varies by 1/4 in size because it's a blend of Polyols Diisocyanate (TDI) and water. That is why it will endure extreme conditions

What are density and ILD?
1.8 pound density is related to the foam quality and durability. ILD (Indentation Load Deflection) is the foam firmness or compression rate. When applying pressure to a cubic foot of 46 ILD, the foam will compress by 25% (compression rate 1827)

How long will 1.8 density foam last?
High density foam lasts an average of 8 years. FoamFit recommends replacing the cushion after 5 years.
