This women enlisted in 1943.  She was trained and then sent ot New Guinea and was part of Generla MacArthurs GHQ.   As the war progressed she moved to the Philippines.  

The author recounts her service during World War II as a member of the Womens' Army Corps, which trained her to decipher enemy code and sent her to the Philippines, where she plied her skills and learned much about life
