To convert to a backpack the straps attach and clip on super easy, alternatively straps can be easily tucked back in zip pocket where they are attached.
Inside is one main compartment with some smaller pockets on the sides, one yellow strap can be used and Velcro secure to close main side pocket for a laptop etc..
