Vintage BREITLING Single Button Chronograph Pulsations Watch (Venus 150) c.1930s (late 30's early 40s)

This is an extremely rare very early BRIETLING pulsations chronograph watch believe to be dated to the late 30's early 40s.  It has

a single button as opposed to the usual two buttons on the chronograph watches, so again very rare to find.  Often used by the medical profession of the military during WW2.  The stainless steel case is approx 32mm excluding the crown in good condition for its age and it has unusual extended flexible lugs 16mm adding to the overall appeal of the watch.  The case back is marked Brietling with the numbers 372634 which pre-dates 1944.

The dial is beautifully aged with Base 30 Pulsations written to the top, and Breitling below 12.  The hour and minute hands are blue steel with a gold second hand as well as having blue steeled hands on both the sub dials. The chronograph function works well pushing in to start, again to stop and again to re-set.

On opening the snap case back inside you can see it say staybrite representing it is made from top quality Sheffield steel.  The movement is marked Breitling and appears to be a manual wind (Venus 150 family 17 Jewel) chronograph movement running well but would no doubt benefit from a service in the future.

The watch is on a black leather strap with stainless buckle.

Breitling has been a leading innovator in high quality stopwatches and chronographs and helped define how chronographs look and function until today and they launched the first wrist chronograph with a pusher at 2:00 in 1915, so this watch is a must for any collector of early chronograph with single pusher working versions rare to come by.
