Temperatures in my area have reached the level heat packs are no longer possible. They will kill the fish by raising the temps TOO high for the short term. You will receive ONE adult pregnant female guppy. The guppy will be obviously pregnant on arrival. I can't estimate how long you may have to wait, but it should be two weeks or less in most cases. Successful birth can not be guaranteed. Your tank conditions will play a large role in the success or failure.
Customer may request either SILVER bodied, HALF BLACK bodied, or GOLDEN bodied female by leaving a MESSAGE TO SELLER at time of checkout. Otherwise, a random draw female will be chosen. All females are exposed to all males, so genetics will be mixed in your fry no matter your choice. Even golden females can birth silver fry, or vice versa.
Why buy only one female? Survivability of the fry.
Most people put too many guppy in their tanks and then wonder why so few babies survive. Even well fed guppies will prey on young fry by instinct. Once guppies learn the process, they literally eat the fry as fast as they are born, following a mother around as she drops them and eating the young before they ever have a chance to swim and hide.
Placing one mother in an isolated tank allows the birth process to happen without harassment. With proper plants or hiding places, the fry should survive in much larger numbers than with even a trio of guppy, the standard way. For anyone starting a new tank, this is optimal, as the tank will gain beneficial bacteria with the growing colony, without ever overwhelming the cycle.
A perfect way to start your own guppy colony. Fry will also grow and mature faster without competition for food with larger fish.

Mutt guppies are generally healthier and more robust than pure strains that have been inbred for long periods of time. The mixture of genetics creates a healthier line of fish, and offers constant surprise. No matter what your guppies look like, their offspring will be completely varied with no clue what they might produce next.
BULLETPROOF GUPPIES!!! - My line of mutt guppies is as close to the bulletproof guppies of days gone by as you will find anywhere. I have mixed the strains of multiple fancy guppies with Endler genetics and now crossed them all with the Infamous VIENNA STRAIN, an isolated genetic only recently imported into the US. This result of mixed genetics along with my keeping practices have resulted in the hardiest line of fish available today.
Most orders will ship the Monday or Tuesday following your purchase, but I may alter shipping based on weather conditions or other factors within the time allowed. You will be notified of shipping and tracking as soon as the fish are shipped. Please use the tracking information to plan for their arrival.
All fish are shipped with an Arrive Alive Guarantee. In the event of death, you must send a clear picture of the dead fish in an unopened bag within 2 hours of the delivery (based on tracking). Please include a second picture with the dead fish on a white paper towel so that the number dead is clearly visible. I will refund or replace only orders that follow these guidelines. PLEASE, do not leave negative feedback in a kneejerk reaction. I will work with all reasonable customers to make the situation right.
