This sale is for brand new can motor upgrade kit for the MDC  0-6-0, 0-6-0T, 2-6-0, 2-8-0, 2-6-2, 4-6-0, and 4-4-2 steam locomotives.This kit will provide smooth low speed operation and A LOWER TOP SPEED, operating noise will be reduced. PLEASE NOTE, this motor kit WILL NOT FIT in the MDC boxcab, Climax, Shay, HOn3 2-8-0, old timer 2-8-0, early 0-6-0 with tender or ready to run locomotives. This kit is designed to replace the old Pittman style motor, not the newer style motor. This kit will only work in locomotives that have an idler gear between the worm gear and the axle gear. This motor kit will not work in early versions of locomotives that have the worm gear directly driving the axle gear. Please check your locomotive before purchasing this kit. The motor measures 25mm long x 20mm high x 15mm wide. The motor kit comes with a shaft adapter that measures 3/4 inch long x 3/32 inch in diameter.  At 12 volts DC with no load, this motor draws 50ma and develops 7600rpm, the stall current is 600ma. This motor is DCC compatible. This motor will start turning smoothly on1 voilt DC. The motor kit consists of one can motor, shaft adapter, hook up wire and illustrated installation instructions. The 2nd photo shows the contents of the motor kit. The motor kit utilizes the existing MDC worm and gears, the MDC gears and worm ARE NOT included with the motor kit.. The photo shows what the motor kit would look like installed on an MDC 0-6-0T chassis. PLEASE NOTE the chassis shown in the photo is NOT included with the motor kit. This is an unassembled kit
