IBG Models 1/72 Type 95 Ha-Go with Short Wave Radio

Japanese Light Command Tank

20mm Scale

New, sealed and unbuilt.

Ref No : IBG72090

Designed in 1935 and developed by Misubishi Heavy Industries, the Type 95 Ha-Go was a 7.4 tonne light tank with a crew of 3 - a commander, driver and hull machine gunner. Most Ha-Go were armed with a 37mm Type 98 gun which fired both armour piercing and high explosive. The Early Version had a 37mm Type 94 gun with a barrel length of 36.7 calibres and secondary armament of two 6.5mm Type 91 machine guns - one on the hull front and the other on the turret rear facing slightly to the side. The Early Ha-Go had a 110hp air-cooled diesel engine with a top speed of 25mph.

The Ha-Go proved effective against infantry and other light tanks such as the Vickers, Pz Kpfw I and CV33 used by the Chinese National Revolutionary Army but was inadequate against heavier tanks, such as the Matilda and the Sherman introduced during WWII. As a result they were largely obsolete by 1941. Despite this, they remained in front line service against the Allies until 1945. This kit depicts a Ha-Go command tank fitted with a short wave radio aerial round the turret.

Whether for wargaming or just building for display this brand new kit is a beauty. Not to be missed.
