Fabric is a nylon polyester taffeta with acetate and rayon velvet.  This dress is fully lined. The skirt has a second layer of lining and netting. Inside boning on the bodice to keep the top up. The skirt is lined with stiff netting that creates a rustling or crunchy sound.

Condition
I do not think this dress has been worn very much. The inside is very clean. There are no stains, holes or tears.

What Diane Likes About This Dress
Mr. Costa was the king of the knock off. He took end end designer pieces and redid them for the masses. Don't get me wrong, Mr.Costa was not cheap or inexpensive. But his dresses ran into the hundreds rather than the thousands. I like the shimmery bronze fabric that reflects the light. This kind of luxury look was very popular in the 80s. It referenced historical royalty and opulence. It was big and bold and dramatic. This taffeta, lined in netting makes a distinctive sound when you walk. It is the sound of sumptuousness. Mr. Costa is one of my favorite 80s designers and this is one of my favorite 80s styles.

"There is no sound more feminine than a woman in a taffeta dress."
—Oscar de la Renta
