This is an antique centerfold engraving from Harper's Weekly, an illustrated newspaper published in 1869. The prints in this series have text on the reverse, and are printed on what is called rag paper, an antique paper that is stronger and far more durable than the newspaper material we use today.

CONDITION: EXCELLENT -- The prints in this series are clear, clean and bright; no tears or folds. A really fine image. Excellent definition. Nice clean, sharp lines, and wide margins.  NOTE: Light foxing in left margin. NO HOLES AT CENTERFOLD.

This print is over 150 years old and guaranteed to be original. It is an authentic old print from the aforementioned newspaper and NOT A MODERN REPRODUCTION.

The print, including the white border, is about 16" x 22".
