TALL SHIP THE GORCH FOCK

Ship's Tallys have been used by most Navies in the world being the  ribbon that goes around Sailors' Caps and this Tally is for the German Navy/Bundesnarine Vessel Gorch Fock A tall ship operated as a Training Vessel.

  The Training Ship Gorch Fock was built in 1958 for service as a  Sail Training Ship being a Three masted Vessel and used to train I believe Officers for the German Navy and the German Merchant Marine. A magnificent vessel often seen at the Tall Ships Events.In recent years she has been undergoing major upgrades and repairs but will be at sea this year. This vessel  replaces an earlier Gorch Fock  given to the Soviet Union post WW2.
