“Antique Porcelain Digest”

By Cleo M. Scott & G. Ryland Scott.
Published in Newport Mon by The Ceramic Book Company in 1961.

DISCUSSION:

A series of essays on German & Austrian, Scandinavian, Swiss, Italian, French and English porcelains made between about 1710 and 1820. The authors had spent considerable time on the Continent collecting ceramics and interviewing collectors and specialists, and distilled their notes into this book. Many of the numerous illustrations were of specimens from private collections. The text is divided into major sections covering:

- Oriental porcelains
- German & Austrian porcelains
-Scandanavian & Swiss porcelains
-Italian porcelains
-French porcelains
-English porcelains
-American porcelains

-with many sub-chapters and sections within each major country section.

DESCRIPTION:

Hardcover. 8.5"x11", 200 pages plus 23 color and 156 black & white plates.

The covers have some light wear. The book interior has some minor soil and mild sporadic spotting, but otherwise is clean and nice, with a tight binding.
