This is an "AMERICAN ELECTRIC"  very nicely painted round-base telephone with an interesting brass cradle plate.

 It was not unusual to find "AMERICAN ELECTRIC" and
"AUTOMATIC ELECTRIC" both on the same brass plate,

but this plate includes another well known Company

the "Monarch CO. " and it also brings in the name   "COMO-PHONE". Not sure what it is, first time I've seen that name!

UNUSUAL INDEED!

There is a tiny-tiny chip on the bottom where no on will ever notice.
