My amazing Westone Thunder 1A with psychedelic motorcycle-style custom paint job is a truly unique guitar.

As you can tell by the serial number, this is the 1982 model, made in Japan in the famous Matsutmoku factory. The other giveaway is the brass nut - from 1983 (I think) they moved to plastic for this part. And don't underestimate the difference this makes - the brass nut makes it sing! Sustain for days!

But it's time to admit this is more guitar than I need - a genuine beast! - and I just fell in love with a little vintage Jedson that I want to buy and I need to get the money for that from somewhere ... it's one in one out these days :/

Anyway, this has been a studio-only guitar since I bought it about five years ago. Perfect working order, except for a little crackle when you turn the pots from under-use (like I said, it's more guitar than I need so it doesn't get played half as much as it should). This should sort itself out pretty quick with normal use, or give it a quick spray with switch cleaner and it'll be clean as a whistle!

A few original parts have been swapped out for equal-or-better quality components which suit the new paint job better (e.g. chrome knobs & bridge instead of the original brass ones). I do still have the original bridge though, l if you want to swap it back in - should be an easy job.

Oh and the "PIG" on the headstock is the mark of the man who did the custom paint job (Pearson, Ian G.) - he genuinely used to do this for Hells Angels' motorbikes, now he does it for guitars! The finish is really incredible - it looks good in the photos but still they really don't do it justice - you've gotta see it in real life to appreciate tit properly.

Comes with a big old 80s-style rectangular hard case too to keep the guitar safe and other people's shins in constant danger when you're carrying it to gigs :)

Buy it off me quick before Change my mind!
