Moon Guitar's was established in 1970's by a craftsman who is a former famous maker's management team, and is still supported by many players as one of the brands that led the component guitar boom in 1980's. This instrument appeared as one of the flagship models of the brand in the mid 1980's, and is loved by players of a wide range of genres. The wood material is selected as high quality as you can say Moon, and the body is made of 2 pieces of Alder which is a little heavy. The neck is made of carefully selected maple, and the fingerboard is described as rosewood in the catalog of the time, but by today's standards, it is not an exaggeration to say that it is a Hakaranda with a beautiful grain. The combination of gold and metallic red gives it a faded but still flashy look, which reflects the times. The total weight is about 3.95kg, which seems heavy for a Strat, but the aluminum pickguard eats up a lot of the mass. The SPC is simply a mid-boosting knob that defaults to 0, and the sound gets fatter as you turn it up, and when set to full, the sound is as boosted as a humbucker. The parts are basically original, but some parts were defective, so the tone pot was replaced with CTS and the lever switch was replaced with Montreux 5-way. The combination of the overall weight, including parts, and the active circuit, and above all, the powerful sound that can be experienced because of the superior materials and workmanship is one word that describes it superbly. The neck is currently straight and the rod has plenty of room to spare.
