The map is based on surveys

up to and including 1890.

It was published by the 

British Admiralty, London, 1891.

The chart shows small corrections

up to and including 1900.

The map shows the entire

Gulf of St. Lawrence,

including portions of the coastlines for

Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland,

and all of Cape Breton and Prince Edward Island.

The map measures

25" x 38 1/2"

to the neat line

with ample margins,

and blank on the reverse.

The map has been in storage

for several decades.

It shows edge wear,

short tears, creasing, staining, 

along some small areas 

of paper loss in the margins -

not affecting the text.

In addition, there's a long closed tear,

which has been secured on the reverse

with cello-tape.

Overall, we rate the condition 

as fair to good.
