Black Pepper Piper Nigrum Live Natural Ceylon Organic Plant Well Rooted Cuttings

Black pepper (Piper nigrum) is one of the most commonly used spices worldwide prized for its pungent flavor and aroma.

Planting
Plant the cuttings in a well draining potting mix. You can use a small pot or seedling tray filled with a mixture of potting soil and perlite or sand to improve drainage.

Moisture and Humidity
Keep the potting mix consistently moist but not waterlogged. You can cover the cuttings with a clear plastic bag or place them in a propagator to maintain high humidity levels, which can aid in root development.

Light and Temperature
Place the cuttings in a location with bright, indirect light. Avoid placing them in direct sunlight  as this can cause stress. The ideal temperature for root development is around 70-75°F (21-24°C).

Transplanting
Once the cuttings have developed a healthy root system (usually within 4-6 weeks), they can be transplanted into individual pots or directly into the garden.

Care
Continue to water the newly rooted plants regularly and provide them with appropriate sunlight. Gradually acclimate them to outdoor conditions if they were started indoors.
