Georgian / Victorian Gold Rock Crystal / Smokey Quartz Desk Seal. The handle tests as quartz and it's a very pale champagne colour - it's hard to say whether you would define it as rock crystal or smokey quartz - probably the latter. The seal is a smokey quartz and has not been Engraved / monogrammed in any way

It has a beautifully decorated mounts that test at least 9ct gold and are most likely 15ct / 18ct

The seal measures 83mm long and 30mm at widest point.

Dating is around 1800 - 1850 - I am not quite sure if I would classify this as Georgian or Victorian.

This really is a beautiful item that was obviously originally owned by someone very wealthy.
