To make sure something will fit, take measurements from a piece of clothing that fits you well and use those measurements to compare. If you use your personal actual measurements, you should always figure needing two inches extra for breathing room.

Label- Just the tiniest remnant is left. This is factory sewn.

Closes with wood buttons down the back. Ties at the sides

Fabric is a medium weight crinkled material.  It is rayon and linen that like to fray on the inside seams, but it feels like a cotton. Perhaps a cotton blend.  This dress is unlined.

Condition
No stains, holes, or tears. Has its original factory sewn hem. I show a photo of a little bit of discoloration under the arms.
This fabric likes to fray and you can see some of this on the inside seams. This means it should be washed gently and hung to dry.

What Diane Likes About This Dress
This muted blue color was very popular at the end of the 1970s. Not that I want to give away my age. I want anyone who reads this to think of me as very young and very hip. But the truth is, this color made me feel very reminiscent. My high school graduation dress was in this very shade of blue. I was sure back then that it would never go out of style. It is funny, but as I grow older, I realize I thought the styles and colors I grew up with would just always stay the same. But this dusky shade of blue seems to be a color that lives forever in the late 1970s and in my memories.

"Fashions fade, style is eternal."  Yves Saint Laurent

You are your own stories … The theme you choose may change or simply elude you but being your own story means you can always choose the tone.  It also means that you can invent the language to say who you are and what you mean."  Toni Morrison
