Nick Hume is a responsible executive living a contented life with his wife and two teenagers. After stopping for petrol in a dubious neighbourhood one evening, Hume witnesses the brutal murder of his oldest son. The killer, Joe Darley, is caught but when Hume learns that a plea bargain will see Darley free after little jail time, he sabotages the trial and goes after him - his way.
