This is a Japanese sword sunnobi tanto, ko-wakizashi in mountings.  The blade is signed "Kaneyoshi 兼義"shinogi zukuri shape with bohi engravings, muromachi period ca. 1550 era made blade.       

The blade is in old full polish, no rust, no stain and in good condition.     The temper line is wavy gunome-choji temper pattern and has deep turn back temper at the point.      The forging grain is tight itame-hada, no openings, no blister and no forging flaws.    There is no bend, no nicks, no cracks and cutting edge is razor sharp.  

The scabbard is urushi lacquered wood scabbard, no cracks, no dents and in mint condition.    Handle is tight fit with shakudo fuchi / kashira, tsuka-ito wrapping is no cuts, no loose also in good condition.  Tsuba is mokko shape iron tsuba with nice patina.       

It measures 12+1/4" cutting edge, 1+1/16" width, 5 mm thickness at the notch and 21" in mountings.     Shipping is $25 UPS 2 day air in U.S.    Payment due with in 3 days auction end.
