The backbone of this kit is made up of the ASR Outdoor Backpack Folding Sluice Box for Gold Panning features a 3-piece folding design and a 50-inch gravity fed channel, together creating this high recovery gold panning and mineral collection tool. In addition, the gold prospecting sluice box is easily portable, folding down in size by simply loosening the connecting wing nuts. The sluice box body is designed to lock rigidly in place when the sluice is unfolded; This takes care of the most common complaint about some models that often fold up when you tried to pick them up out of the stream. This lightweight, aluminum folding sluice box incorporates traditional tried and true design aspects in an elongated 50" run out. What makes this unit different and extra handy is the ability to fold up to just 15 inches tall by 12 inches wide, easily fitting into a backpack or 5 gallon bucket that is ideal for all day hikers, adventurers and seasoned miner 49ers. You can backpack this folding sluice into remote areas anywhere! Plus, the gold panning sluice box carry strap is removable and adjustable, extending to 54 inches so that it can be used as either a hand carry strap or shoulder strap. Notably, this allows the carry strap to be easily removed when the sluice is in action. The body of the sluice box is made of rust-resistant aluminum, allowing to use this gold panning sluice box for many gold recovery seasons to come! The sluice riffles feature Uni-Body construction, the riffles are precision laser cut from a single piece of 18 gauge steel and then formed into ultra light, sturdy steel riffles. These are then zinc plated for long rust-free service. And, as a bonus, the gold prospecting sluice box also comes with durable miner's moss and carpet already installed, so you won't have to worry about cutting and fitting your own when starting out The sluice box features four tested and true riffle styles: Hungarian, v-shape, micro, and square.
