The ThinkPad Mini Dock Series 3 is ideal for notebook users who need easy access to the Internet/LAN, multiple USB devices, audio and video equipment. It offers convenient eject button for one-step system removal in a hurry and with all Thinkpad docks, has been designed to keep your desk free from the clutter of messy wires.
There are multiple video ports onboard, and the video controller allows for any two video ports to be used simultaneously giving it the edge over its -little brother-, the "Port Replicator Series III"
The Lenovo ThinkPad Mini Dock Series 3 (III) offers connections for notebook ports including power pass-through. It comes without integrated power supply but provides the same power jack as found in a ThinkPad, so you need to use either your ThinkPad AC adapter or another IBM AC adapter (Must be 90W or higher).
Besides all the pass-through ports the Port Replicator Series 3 (III) comes with an On/Off switch and a slot for a Kensington cable lock which secures the device and prevents the ThinkPad dock from being removed.
This Port Replicator / Docking station allows for permanent connection of peripheral devices at your desk with no need to keep plugging / unplugging cables each time you want to work.
Please note that this model does have a lock present and includes two keys.
