THE WORLD’S FAVORITE BASS AMP TONES

Recreates every nuance of the Ampeg SVT and 8x10 speaker cabinet in a compact size.

Equipped with D.I. output.

9VDC(min 150mA) (adapter not included)

BassRIG Super Vintage is an analog amplifier creation that captures every nuance of the Ampeg(R) SVT and 8x10 speaker cabinet.

Released in 1969, the SVTR was the world's first high-power bass amplifier and continues to be the number one choice for bassists today. BassRIG Super Vintage boasts all the versatility of this classic stack, with deep low end, growling distortion, and wide control (and you don't need a team of roadies!).

It features an entire valve amp circuit in effector size, with all the controls you need to create the perfect bass amp tone.

The BLEND knob adds and mixes dry signal to maintain clarity and low end of the sound.

Equipped with an XLR DI output, it can be output at line level from an analog cabinet simulator, so you can connect it directly to a mixing console and provide powerful, authentic SVTR tones.

In addition, the output stage is equipped with ORIGIN EFFECTS' unique post-drive filter Amp OutEQ that can be adjusted to match the amplifier being used. This filter ensures compatibility with any amplifier or cabinet. That means you don't have to worry about shaping your sound or compromising your clean tone.

GET CONNECTED

INSTR - Input bass or other instruments.

AMP - Connects to an amplifier or power amplifier.

DI OUT - Connect to mixer or interface.

9VDC - Connect a 9VDC 2.1mm (minimum 150mA) center negative power supply.

SET THE AMP OUT EQ

HORN CUT - When used with a cabinet equipped with a tweeter, set the HORN CUT switch to 2K or 4K to get a smooth overdrive tone and protect the tweeter.

LF - Controls the booming of larger cabinets or thickens and thickens the sound of smaller cabinets.

HF - Adds upper mid presence or top end control when using modern hi-fi amplifiers.

SHAPE YOUR VOICE

The tone control affects not only the frequency response but also the characteristics of the overdrive.

TREBLE - Turn clockwise for brighter tones and more aggressive overdrive. Turn counterclockwise to smooth the sound.

MIDRANGE - Allows you to cut or boost mids at 3 different frequencies. Especially with a clean sound, cutting low frequencies will give you a clear, scooped tone. Boosting the treble in an overdriven sound can result in severe howling rock distortion.

BASS - Turn clockwise to deepen the low end. Turn counterclockwise for a thinner, more percussive sound.

Tip: Lowering the BASS setting for overdriven sounds improves tightness and definition.

ULTRA HI/LO CUT - ULTRA HI adds ultra-high frequencies to your preamp. Its influence decreases as DRIVE increases. LO CUT removes the very low frequencies of the preamp. This helps improve low-end clarity with overdriven tones.

DIAL IN YOUR OVERDRIVE GAIN

The transition from clean to drive tone is similar to turning up a classic type amp without a master volume.

BLEND IN YOUR DRIVE BLEND

Turn clockwise to add a dry (clean) signal from your bass guitar. This helps maintain clarity when using overdriven sounds.

DI OUT - Balanced XLR output provides an analog simulated line level output of an 8x10 bass cabinet to your PA or recording interface.

DI CAB SIM switch - When this switch is set to the FX position, the cabinet simulator is only active when BassRIG Super Vintage is on. The cabinet simulator is always active in the FX + BYP position.

DI GROUND switch - Select GND when using only DI output. Select LIFT to eliminate ground loop hum when using both outputs.
