Im Jahr 2024 gibt Spanien zum dritten Mal in der Geschichte des Landes eine 1/10 Oz Anlagemünze heraus. Geprägt aus 99,99% reinem Gold in Stempelglanz-Qualität, zeigt das Motiv der Euromünze ein Kartäuser-Pferd. Umgeben wird das Design von den Aufschriften "15 EURO CENT", "CABALLO CARTUJANO" und "2024". Als eine der ältesten, globalen Währungen zeigt die Rückseite der Münze zwei gekrönte Weltkugeln schwebend über dem Meer. Sie werden flankiert von den zwei Säulen des Herakles, um die zwei Banner mit dem lateinischen Motto "PLUS ULTRA" (dt.: immer weiter) wehen. Ebenfalls enthalten sind die Aufschrift "FELIPE VI REY DE ESPAÑA", das Gewicht und die Feinheit der Goldmünze.

Das Kartäuser-Pferd (spa.: Cartujano) gilt unter den spanischen Pferden als besonders edel und zeichnet sich durch seinen stolzen, aber sanftmütigen Charakter aus. Die meisten Individuen dieser Unterrasse der Andalusier sind Schimmel, selten sind auch Braune und Rappen in dieser Zuchtlinie zu finden. Die Geschichte der Rasse reicht bis in das Mittelalter zurück, wo sie von den Mönchen des Kartäuserklosters gezüchtet wurden, welche besonders auf die Reinzucht bedacht waren. In 2024, Spain has issued the third ever 1/10 Oz bullion coin in the history of the country. Struck from 99.99% pure gold in uncirculated quality, the motive of the coin features a depiction of a Carthusian Horse. Surrounding the motive are the inscriptions "15 EURO CENT", "CABALLO CARTUJANO" and "2024". As one of the oldest, global currencies, the reverse of the coin features two crowned globes floating above the sea. They are flanked by the columns of Heracles on each side, in which two ribbons are waving with the Latin motto "PLUS ULTRA" (engl. ever on). Also included are the inscription "FELIPE VI REY DE ESPAÑA" as well as the weight and fineness of the gold coin.

The Carthusian horse (spa.: Cartujano) is considered particularly noble among Spanish horses and is characterized by its proud but gentle character. Most individuals of this sub-breed of Andalusian are gray, rarely browns and blacks are also found in this breeding line. The history of the breed goes back to the Middle Ages, where they were bred by the monks of the Carthusian monastery, who were particularly concerned about pure breeding.
